Why?

How?

There are few places in Malawi where locals and foreigners gather as equals. Climbing can be a great equalizer.

Malawi lacks recreational opportunities (not even a movie theater). Healthy recreation is incredibly important for youth development.

Climbing brings us joy! We want to share that joy with our community.

Climb Malawi will not turn away anyone for ability to pay. Membership pricing is a suggestion donation only and volunteer opportunities are available as an alternative.

For many the cost of a mini-bus ride can wipe out most of the day’s salary. Climb Malawi offers minibus reimbursement through our Kuyenda Volunteer Program and operate a free shuttle bus for outdoor trips.

To ensure a welcoming environment, Climb Malawi will offer introduction programs in the local language (Chichewa), womens-only programs, and youth programs.

Climb Malawi will also facilitate trips to climb on real rock in the local hills and mountains, enabling all to experience the natural beauty of Malawi.
